Wow. It's been almost a month since i've written. What can I say.... i'm a busy girl. School has been going well. I am finally getting used to my schedule, and I have met some great new friends. My car is really coming along well, thanks to more friends, and should be finished (minus the paint job that I have hoped for) in the upcoming weeks. The job, well, it's a job and i'm coming to terms with it. I'm not a lifer to retail, and that makes me feel better.
I've been sick. It's awful and I am hoping to get over it soon. It's a mix of the cold/flu/headache/vomit sickness, whatever you want to call it. I want it to go away and never come back cause I am tired of feeling so down and tired all the time.
We went to Nashville over the weekend, and what a fiasco that turned out to be! We borrowed a trailer to tow one of the cars, and a few minutes before departing Friday night, Jerry's neighbor decided to call the police on us claiming that our borrowed trailer was the same one that was stolen from his house a short while ago. First of all, the trailer wasn't stolen, and second of all, even if we wanted to steal someone's trailer, we wouldn't steal it from a neighbor, and then park it right in front of his face. Idiot. On top of that, the cops now have this idea in their head that we are thieves, and the cars that exist in our driveway are built with stolen parts. Even more heinous! I don't get it. We do what we do cause it's fun. We keep it legal, and we do our best not to bother others, or be a nuisance, but stuff like this always seems to come our way. I find it kind of funny, and I guess I would be more worried if we were doing something shady, but i'm not. We have nothing to hide, but I find it unfair that we are frowned upon for so many things, just for our love of cars and motorsports. If anything, we do not fit that "profile". Then...on our way home we hit numerous obstacles, turning our 3 hour at most trip, into a 5 hour one. Glad to be home!
So. Cameron is flying in from Miami this week and I couldn't be more excited! I love it when I get to see her, and I can only wonder what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into. Last time she came we went shopping. Oooooooh. Shock me shock me shock me with that deviant behavior! Then, in October, Tim is coming to see me. All the way from Texas! Yay!
I'm glad I got to see some familiar faces this weekend, and not so glad to see others. Overall, it was just nice to have the time off. Tomorrow I go back to school, and Wednesday I go back to work. I'll be back in the swing of things soon enough, and then it will be Jerry's birthday. I hope it will be a good one for him, cause I have a few tricks up my sleeve.
