So I was really looking forward to my day off. I had plans to get my hair and nails done, and do a little shopping. School starts next week and I wanted a girly day after working all week. Jerry and I usually go our separate ways on weekends, so no big deal. He decided he would finally go pick up our 2 broken daily driver cars. The Cadillac and the S10. On the way his F250 broke down. He managed to drive the S10 to the house, despite it's transmission issues, and pick up my 2500. Now I am left without a vehicle, and our broken car toll is up a number. His "plans" always seem to interfere with things that need to be done, so I know this situation is not going anywhere any time soon.
1. The Camaro runs, but is not legal for the street. Fail.
2. The Catera runs, but is in dyer need of head gaskets. Epic fail, due to the fact that it is a Catera, and anyone who would want/can do the head job, should be put in some sort of hall of fame.
3. The S10 needs a new transmission. Also Fail.
4. The F-250 in my opinion is beyond hope, and most likely needs a new motor. FAIL. Ouch. This hurts my checkbook just to think about it.
5. And just to add the fact that the 240 is for racing only, and really shouldn't be used as a daily.
Something tells me priorities are no where to be found. I think some SERIOUS weekend work is in order, but it looks like going to St. Louis to pick up a 60' big screen is more important. Aside from this, I cannot enjoy my well deserved day off sitting in the house.... I finally (and I mean just now) got all my classes in order for school next week. I'm paid up and ready to start, other than getting books and any other school supplies. This has really put a cloud over my sunny day.
